I wish it would sell a lot more, but given how virtually unknown the show is and how the DVD set is been out for only a couple of weeks, it's way too soon to expect amazing sales, that's what I'm saying.
It took Family Guy 2 years and Futurama 6 years to reach the level of attention that got them into renewal. I'm not saying it's gonna take as long for Reaper but it will take a while.

...Because that's what people do? When a show has finished out its' season and airs repeats, studios release the DVDs and people buy. Reaper should be no different. I'm gonna disagree, particularly considering shows don't really repeat much nowadays. I think Reaper's got multiple problems and the two biggest are: 1) It came out 2 weeks after the media-billed "SERIES" finale (I personally can't see why a lot of casual people would buy a "canceled" show, particularly 2 weeks after it ended, and with only 13 episodes - I really think NetFlix will be the saving grace here, people will rent before they buy); and 2) it was written as a SEASON finale, which left many people dissatisfied with the "series" ending. I've already encountered a lot of "sorry, I don't buy DVDs for shows that had sucky endings." Not to say the ending sucked. As a season finale it was great. But as a series finale I've seen a ton of criticism. |

I finally got my DVD's!
I even borrowed Season 1 to a friend, I hope I get more people on the "Reapermania" that way... hehe
And yes, Sam's mom deleted scene is really weird, but I like how they all notice the "smell" coming from the garage... That was great... hehe

Got my DVDs today. Was expecting a bit moreof extra features.
"Making of S2" would be nice.
Gag reel was funny but more or less standard for DVDs.
Deleted scenes were interesting, specially Sam's mom. I really woder why they left that one out. Extended scene for monkey dance was funny.

I totally agree, akt! That deleted scene seems kind of key, even though it didn't reveal anything. Plus...the gag reel just makes me miss the show even more, so I only watch it sparingly. Glad you got the disks, anyway!

and I finally got to hear dialogue at the beginning of E3. The version I saw had some problems and no dialogue was heard until Nina transforms to human form.

Gag reels are always a good way to see the actors "outside" of characters. When available it's the frist thing i watch.
And yes, i agree with you about the extras. They're a little scarce.

I just thought I'd give all the Canadian Reaper fans a heads-up that S1 is currently $11.99 at Future Shop. It seems like a remarkably low price to me, considering the set isn't really that old.
