More hotel living for me, which I realize I really like the calm anonymity of it. And the views. The beautiful Bay Area, from the 38th floor. I live across the water there. Museum of Modern Art on the left, and a scrap of ATT Park (SF Giants ballpark) on the far right. Moscone Center below; if anyone saw the movie Milk, he's the Mayor that was shot along with Harvey. (Spoiler-tagged just in case you don't know the story.) Come visit, you all!

OMG HOW I HATE THE CW BOARDS. FLAMES. F-L-A-M-E-S. OMG I have discovered the CW's secret weapon to take us down: it's to cater to the demographic THAT DOESN'T READ. IHATETHATBOARDIHATETHATBOARDIHATETHATBOARD

That's a good strategy, actually. People who buy and don't read.

So this is interesting. My daughter just came back from an overnight school trip to Gettysburg, PA (site of famed civil war battles) and turns out its considered the third most haunted city in America. But of special interest to this board is the name of the only woman killed during the battle of Gettysburg and one of the sites of interests is her home on this haunted tour. Her name? Jenny Wade

Quill is now sitting in front of my TV watching a Macy's Summer Sale ad, and not realizing exactly how big her head is.

You'll just have to get a bigger TV.

...is ON! I'll be in a groovy (well, I hope) apartment in Greenwich Village from July 9 - August 9. I don't have any real plans, just hang out! Do whatever I want to every single day (and night).
I'm planning to start a blog -- yes, a blog -- so people can connect that way, for meet-ups and suggestions of what to do. I figure, even if I just spend the evenings chatting with Blue, kathyk, et al here in the chatroom every night, I'll be doing it in NEW YORK CITY! And, if you want to visit NYC with me: got a spare couch.
Details to follow.

I love NY. I've never been there but I've always wanted to visit. I just can't get enough of it after all the TV shows and movies I've seen set in that wonderful city.
I promise I won't go on a killing spree like I do in Grand Theft Auto IV if someone invites me... hehe

I love NY. I've never been there but I've always wanted to visit. All I did when I was there was throw up and get my dad mad at me for wanting to watch a free concert when he spent a ton of money for a play on Broadway. We went to the play.

Novium, which one is it? I can't wait to read it. Hah, chuffed. Love that word. I used to use it around my ex and he was all "that's not a word!" Then we saw the movie 24-Hour Party People. (Excellent film, if you're at all interested in the Manchester music scene and the story of the band Joy Division. Anyone? Anyone?) ANYway, this was a scene where lead singer Ian Curtis tells a friend that the band got a U. S. tour, and she says "Well done, you must be chuffed." Sadly, he goes home and hangs himself. My ex: "I guess he wasn't chuffed."

Independence Day, people, and who isn't in favor of independence? Celebrate by doing something liberating. This is one of my favorite songs of all time: 4th of July by the LA punk band X. I couldn't find it on YouTube, sadly. new.music.yahoo.com/x/tracks/4th-of-july--1329043Also, since we like to double-up on celebrations around here, it is also the birthday of our own randomnation. HB, random!

Happy 4th of July to all of you In the mean time, I just stopped by to tell you that I have a terrible cold, so I can't wait for you guys to show up on chat tonight. I feel really bad. In better news, Reaper got back on Universal Channel yesterday. It was great watching Sam again as a, as the Devil put it, "fairy princess"... hehehe And I still think the "Beer Baby Brewing Company" should be real... hehe Anyway, I'll try to be here tomorrow. Have a great weekend!

I can't believe it's been a year since I posted over at TWoP that it was the one-year anniversary since we lost my Mom, and thanked that crew for seeing me through some tough times with the craziness that is our beloved Reaper fandom. Back then it was mostly mythologizing, bickering, and bitching that Sam was insufficiently shirtless. Now, we've have this place, are chatting, Twittering and Facebooking, and have added insane Save Show campaigning to our repertoire, thus earning ourselves the title of Rabid. It's still a lifeline. So, thanks, everyone. The thing about my Mom, she was always there to wish you off or welcome you home. This is from when we lived in England back in the 70s.

On any trip, I always love the cab ride in from the airport. This one was rather wild. It's weird to be on Eastern Time. I'm sure I'll adjust. I hope I can find you all in chat still on a regular basis...I'm updating at Facebook, and the blog, and LJ. I know, crazy. I'm still keeping track of the Reaper Campaign, though, don't worry...
