Yeah, Reaper was such an odd little show, and you were so much fun in it, but it never quite caught fire. What happened there?

I think they were trying to feel their way, and they were just about ready to open it up and go into some different areas when it got cancelled. I was very disappointed. But I certainly enjoyed playing the Devil.

You need to be persistent, like the ocean. Little waves of us crashing on the shores of ABC until they gradually wear down.

Thanks, Kathy! I didn't see it either, but apparently he plays the dad of Robin, one of the main characters, and there's some drama related to his being cast as a replacement. In a rare instance of drama for the happy-go-lucky series, "How I Met Your Mother" apparently had to do some last minute recasting when "The Young and the Restless" star Eric Braeden backed out of his upcoming cameo as Robin's (Cobie Smulders) dad.

Braden, who previously played Robin Scherbatsky Sr. in a 2008 episode, apparently wasn't pleased with the material for his second go around -- at least according to some inflammatory tweets from "HIMYM" star Neil Patrick Harris.

"Eric Braeden is a D-Bag," writes Harris on Dec. 17. "The actor, (Robin's dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn't 'substantial' enough."

Ouch. Fortunately for the show, similar looking and infinitely more familiar actor Ray Wise ("Reaper") has stepped up to the plate.

"We've recast with Ray Wise, a fantastic actor who makes any part 'substantial'," Harris also tweets. "Super excited to welcome him to the family!"

So, since I am watching the Giants, making a panorama icon, talking to blue, and playing a game on the iPad, I can't investigate this right now, but this from Twitter would lead me to believe that Ray Wise is in a new show this season? I'll get back to ya on it.

Although, getting photos of LELAND FUCKING PALMER is a pretty persuasive case.

ETA: Can't find anything on this; Awake seems to be starring Jason Isaacs, which does sound good, though. Jason Isaacs was Malfoy (the dad) in the Harry Potter movies. Which raises a crazy coincidence related to someone(s) in the Reaper fandom who had a thing for both Ray and Jason, but...that's irrelevant I guess. Hah!
