Aw, the guy was really nice about it though when I spoke to him. He apologized right away for suggesting our spoilers are unreliable. He was just stating a disclaimer for himself in case he asked Bret about the casting spoiler and was told it wasn't true. In the end, the fact that it turned out to be spot on gave us great exposure and credibility.

I was remembering this interview from that Oregonian writer, Peter Ames Carlin, who is a favorite of Blue's and others of us thought had a big ol' crush on Bret. Great article, anyway, from before season one started.

REAPER'S HARRISON HURT, VANCOUVER CREW OFF WORK

About 120 crew on the Vancouver-filmed TV series Reaper are off work this week after star Bret Harrison was injured last week in an off-set accident.

Word is that the 26-year-old actor, who plays an unwilling assistant to the Devil in the comic drama, hurt his jaw and teeth in a fall Thursday night, but a spokesman for the show had no specifics yesterday on how badly the actor was hurt.

"We actually haven't got a doctor's report yet," production manager Brian Dick said yesterday, adding that the injured Harrison took a flight to Los Angeles Friday.

Three of the second season's 13 episodes remain to be completed before a scheduled mid-December wrap date, and the show has already been renewed for a third season. Only two filming days had been scheduled for this week because of the upcoming U.S. Thanksgiving.

Dick says he expects the show to finish filming before year's end.

Bret, I hope you're okay! *sends powerful healing thoughts* (and I'm sure the line in the article about being renewed for a third season was innacurate. We've heard nothing).

Hey everybody. Season 2 will be premiering in the new year. We don't have an official time slot or air date yet. Don't know why, but we don't. What I've heard is that we will take over smallville's time slot once they're done and we will be paired up with supernatural. Sounds pretty good I think. We shall see. DVD's for season1 are out and they are selling like hotcakes so go get one. Thanks. TY.

I thought the same thing. I hope he wasn't drunk off his ass when it happened. Stopping production is a big deal. I'm guessing if he had to go to LA for treatment he must have at least chipped some teeth. You need a Hollywood dentist for that kind of repair. Anything else he probably would have been treated in Vancouver, it's not a backwater.

I know TwistTie said they were back at work, but this new bit from VancouverBC.com dated yesterday suggests otherwise:

In its second season, the Vancouver-filmed series employs about 120 crew members, who will now be out of work till further notice.

A broken jaw is a long recovery. Hope that's not true but there it is.

I absolutely insist on looking at this as a good thing <crosses fingers>. Now the cast and crew will be working together when they get the news Reaper's been renewed for another season. ;D

At most it will extend filming into January. I don't think they will announce any renewal of the show until the show has been airing for at least a month or two. Either way, they won't be together when/if it happens since shooting is already almost completed.

And I knew that, but I guess I had a harder time seeing any silver lining in this, even a nonsensical one. I just keep thinking about that poor baby face. This is actually fairly big news, I'm surprised no one has reported on it outside of local Vancouver press. I sent the most recent article to Ausiello as well. I wish someone would pick it up and maybe get a statement from the producers.

Wasn't sure where to post this, so I chose here. Did anyone see the teaser for next week's episode on "Eli Stone" last night? I think the girl in one scene was wearing a "Work Bench" apron. Check out Eli Stone next week to see if I was right.
