Oh, just coming to post that DVD review from IGN, it's really positive. Sigh. All this positivity, and fans coming out to support the show, is making me feel....well never mind that. Excerpt from that review:
"For all their clueless actions and boneheaded decision making skills..." Hah!

Nice. Would have been interesting to see a darker Sam in season 3.

I'm not really sure I want a "darker" Sam. I think one of his traits that makes him so unique is his inherent goodness, and his ability to rub that off on the Devil.

I agree with you Blue. Sam's likability made me watch Reaper. If they made him more evil that would ruin the show. Sock became more evil this season and all I did was fast forward though his scenes. I would love to have seen Sam and And team up during reaps sort of like Mulder and Scully.

I knew it!!! I knew he was pissed about that! If we ever get a serious chance at renewal I think Tyler is going to be the guy we have to convince.

Here's the link, I'm reading it now. I'll report back if anything earthshattering. So far it's a fun read! www.bullz-eye.com/television/interviews/2009/harrison_labine.htmIt's actually pretty good, fills in some of the gaps and repeats some things we've already heard, but in more context. By the way, you can't comment at BullzEye (but you can Digg it!) but you can at Will Harris's blog here: www.premiumhollywood.com/2009/06/17/as-promised-a-chat-with-bret-harrison-and-tyler-labine-of-reaper/Will's been a great supporter of the show, so would be nice to comment there so he knows we're reading! Strangely, all of this makes me feel more hopeful, even in the wake of Tyler's Facebook post. The 1000 Receipts Campaign and everything we can do will give a boost to the fandom and show the producers we're still out here for Reaper!

Random, bearer of tidings! Hmm, hard to know what difference this makes to our efforts. Happy for Missy, of course! but sorry to say that doesn't sound like a show that has a long potential. And anyway, we'd expect all the actors to try to get jobs, with any future for Reaper The Series being up in the air and not immediate.
Plus, it doesn't interfere with the idea of a comic, animated series, or movie, since even Bret and Tyler have said they'd be up for the latter two.
The point still is to keep the fandom strong and vocal!

If either show is cancelled after 1 season they could be interested in returning for 2010/2011 season if there will be such a thing anyway. But I'll wish all good to Missy.

This person who writes for Variety is humorously tweeting from the Grammys, and just said: @franklinavenue: Turns out the Zac Brown Band is made up of the castmembers from The CW's canceled "Reaper." Tyler Labine on lead vocals. Here they are if you want to compare. Actually, they're performing now, and they're not bad, unlike a lot of the other crap that has been on. www.zacbrownband.com/welcome.html

Found by Novium: Our own Steve makes the list at BuddyTV.com's Sent from Heaven: Our Top 10 TV Angels. "#5 Steve, Reaper Steve was initially cast out of Heaven and turned into a demon, but thanks to his conscientious objection to using violence in the rebellion against the Devil, Steve was able to get his wings back and return to his life as an angel, one who was willing to break Sam’s arm for a mysterious reason viewers will never know." Awww. Exactly.

Yay Steve! It's so great to see his character (and Reaper!) get some recognition. It was fun to see shows like Teen Angel on that list, too, haha. (Gosh, I can't believe I remember that show...)

Our buddy really_mzungu writes for BuddyTV, so check--is #Reaper on list?! 20 of TV's worst family relationships: TV Families Gone Bad: Children vs. Parents Television is littered with the remains of bad parent-child relationships. The family fighting makes for great drama, but sometimes the fighting gets a little out of hand. After all, no matter how much your parents irritate you, death and destruction might be too harsh a response.

Over at AV Club, Reaper gets a mention as a show with an ending that worked okay as a series finale. It's pretty complimentary: And there's a video clip too.
