I was out of town over the weekend and returned to find that something went down at TWOP, but I am totally out of the loop on what happened. Could someone please enlighten me?

I've been checking out that Bitter But Brilliant site that blue told us not to go to, and it is both sad and hilarious. Sad that people spend so much time commenting on the lame-ness of other posters ("nobodies" as Stinger says) but funny because a lot of the stuff is true.

Much criticism of the mods, which is amusing. I didn't see anything negative about any of us, but the "Posters Who Bug" thread is over 800 pages long, so I gave up after 50 or so. I guess there is weird crap over there in some of the threads; I didn't know. And, Stinger, I can't believe you registered over there under your usual screenname! Nice.

Plus I think Stinger's gonna owe me 20 bucks, but we'll give it a few days to see.

Blue knows the whole story of Bitter But Brilliant; they branched off from a TWOP sucks site. Apparently they've harshed on some people here! Can you imagine? I did consider joining and posting b/c I agree with some of the gripes about the mods. But I can't handle being on another site right now. No, you don't have to register. Just put your name in the search function and make sure you change the time to any time period and then select individual posts rather than whole threads.

That seriously pisses me off. They changed the rules. Apparently, you had to vote in order to vote. I told everyone it only had to be nominated once, otherwise I would have posted a TON more (not to menton differently), and told others to do so as well.

And if they *did* have a winnowing down process, then it sure as hell didn't last long. I've checked a couple of times in the last couple weeks and never once saw it.

What a ripoff. Yeah, like I'll take the results anywhere near seriously because of that. Except totally not.

Yeah, we were doing just fine and then suddenly Bayliss went all Ministry of Vice and Virtue on us. Every other mod has just given me notes when I've strayed, even if I'd gone off topic. Suddenly I get a warning from Bayliss for thanking other posters:

That was what I said. Bayliss gives me a warning and says this:

How was I not following the rules? The criteria for a warning are listed on the same page and say this:

Some items are 'warnings' and represent more serious issues like attacking other posters, derailing conversation, being a dick, and so on. These warnings will remain on your note/warn count after they are acknowledged (though they may be removed manually by mods at a later date at their discretion). Take these warnings seriously! Repeat offenses may lead to your account being banned.

Was my post a more serious issue? Did I attack other posters, "derail" conversation, was I being a dick? None of the above, quite the contrary, I was being extra courteous because I knew people were being extra cautious with the spoiler font largely for my benefit, so I wanted to offer up my appreciation. I got warned. For being nice.

I have a theory that Bayliss has some kind of problem, like serious issue. B/c he was fairly cool before, when he was Jacob.

Ah, okay. I don't remember, though that seems to be par for the course with me lately.

Barnes was always good about giving "notes" when something wasn't a big deal. Or even if it was and it was your first infraction. But Bayliss (and Sars, Miss Alli, and Wing Chun) used to warn me all the time for things that were either accidental (creating an episode thread for a show using the incorrect format) or no big deal (using a common phrase like, "if you really think about it" and claiming it was condescending).

Hmmm. Was just remembering I never acknowledged my banning... I mean, it's one of those principle things. I think my exact words to my computer screen when I realized I'd been banned for two PMs to the moderator were "LIKE HELL I'LL ACKNOWLEDGE IT". Am I affecting anything? I highly doubt TWoP is waiting for my confirmation.

One of the members here sent me a PM about this board and I just had to come over. I really liked the people I got to know in TWOP-Reaper land... even though I feel neglectful and as if I hadn't updated ReaperSite in forever.

And fyi Stinger, it's not shirtless Bret Harrison that turns people awesomely awesomely gay... it's Bret's treasure trail. Sheesh, get it right.
