I dunno. I personally don't want to change it, especially since it's the address too. We're trying to get the TWoP people here.
And the TWoP stuff just has the one thread, which won't be much. It's not like it's the focus, so I don't really see why we'd need yet another board for it. Maybe if we moved it to Chat instead?

We don't need another board for the TwoP stuff, the individual threads are okay, I just don't think we need to name the whole board after TwoP. The address can stay the same, it doesn't matter what the address is, we'll provide a link to anyone we invite, but let's name the board something unique. (Take our own GeekSquee board for instance that has Charliefanfic as its address, even though the board has moved away from that mostly.) |

ETA: And our angels just went away. Glitch or is it being changed again?
ETA2: Okay, they're back. Seems they're just slow to load. Sometimes I have to refresh the page to get the devils and angels to show up.

To let people know, I activated the "karma" feature. Exalt or smite at will. It's fun, and means nothing. Ie - it's not like a ban or anything. However, if Stinger and onyourmark end up in the extreme negatives from constantly smiting each other, I might have to deactivate it. No one deserves *that* bad of karma - not even Sam Oliver himself. ;D This place gets more beautiful each time I come in here. The dark red? The little angels and devils? Awesome. We have to invite more friends. I found a bunch of seriously cute smileys, but I think the fallen angel one I've got up is driving me nuts. But then again, I like it too much. Sigh. You can just give someone some karma if you want to brighten their day, think they're suddenly particularly awesome or just feel like spreading the love. I might smite if someone pushes my buttons but its always in good fun. Smitings are rare. |

And, I can't totally explain, but I believe around here "awesome" also now means "awesomely awesomely gay." It's something oym and Stinger did to the word-filter. In fact, any word could have any meaning. So it's just plain crazy. I'm sure you understand.

Sorry to be such an idiot. Can someone explain to me the quote tags, in verrrry simple language? If you use the "block quote" function that's with the Reply dialog box, it only indents, no box. How do you use the "quote" feature that sits on top of each post?
And I can't figure out the linking thing, either. I cut and pasted one of pace's once but I'd rather be more independant. I can paste a url and make it a link, but I don't know how to turn a word (like "look here") into a link that hides the URL.

And then other times when I want to quote from several posts, I copy the text, paste it in the reply window and add quote tags around it: [ quote ] text [ / quote ] Use that without the spaces. To make text into a link, just use this code, without the spaces and substitute the actual http address where it says address: [ url= address ] text [ / url ] |

Hey, I'm liking the site and I think you guys are doing an awesome job. But as I am a technophobe and kinda slow on this sorta thing I was wondering if I could ask for some help. Is there is away to click on a thread and return to the last post you read or do I have to adjust the cookies on my computer (which I also don't know how to do)? I have other questions too I just can't think of them right now. Thanks for making the site.  Edited to add: Just found the smiley thing out. Very cute. What does the karma/ exhalte/ smite thing on the side mean? (Because I also can't see it on my name either) It's probably said somewhere on the site but I can't find it.  . |

As far as I know, there is no way to go back to the last post you read, you'd just have to scroll back to the last post you made in the thread and read on from there. There is a feature at the bottom of the main page that will display the last 30 posts made on the site if that helps. Karma is just a fun thing that doesn't do anything apart from giving or taking away karma from your fellow poster. You can't do it for yourself so you just see your karma count. But if you want to give someone some karma to perk up their day, go right ahead and I'm sure others will do the same for you. And for asking such good questions, I exalt you. ;D |
