Pace, did you get yours? I hated mine at first because I was thinking I'd picked Inara/Zoe, but happy now I remember I chose Andi/Josie. It's a pumpkin! We'll see if I get inspired... Oh, that's so much easier than mine. I got a penguin! I actually love penguins but I have no frakking idea what I'm going to do. I'd like to incorporate it into the escaped soul somehow, kind of like Batman's Penguin and make it evil. ;D |

Thanks, Blue! Loved the Peanuts; however not sure it lends well to the general...direction...I was thinking of with Andi/Josie. The alternate POV one, though, now that has potential.

I don't know why I blanked out on the Andi/Josie thing for the Peanuts clip, because I could so see Sock going on a rant about how the Great Pumpkin is better than Santa Claus. Man, you know your evil penguins. I am attuned to penguins and frogs. My uncle would have his house in the shape of a penguin if he could, and my grandma and aunt were frog people. I can spot even the smallest of 'em hiding in the farthest reaches of the plush cuddlies. Do-be-do-be-do. |

If anyone is interested, ClaireCrossing is doing a Never Done Before Crossover Challenge. Reaper's included. I think though that you have to use Claire from Heroes. I'm not really sure. But a never been done before challenge seems kinda cool. I'm trying to think of a Reaper/Lost one. |

Eh. I know I'm not a regular writer (all my stuff is half-finished, stuffed in a desktop file) but there's one idea that I felt was solid, and won't be able to work on until Christmas (left it with the designated "The States" computer).
Basically, the Devil hires a paranormal consultant to help ease Sam back into his Reapering duties. Along the lines of one of the Winchester boys, but female, supportive, and perky, because I felt that combination fit the show's style best.

Hell, you're a regular writer! In fact, you should link your stories here, so the newer folks can discover, and the rest of us can re-read and enjoy. Hmmm, this idea is intriguing. It makes me think of a science-fiction series I read once, intergalactic organlegger cop who has a psychic "assigned" to him who...well, it's too hard to describe, but it's a fun little series. Not at all on topic for Reaper fanfic, though. However, looking at that link to Amazon, it appears you can buy a used copy for $0.01. Wonder how that works. PS. You've got the idea, why not write it? You got time now you're not following election polls.... |

I never really thought about it before, but apparently requesting fics for presents is kinda in chic. I think it's kinda cool, but I'm not really the 'prompt' type of writer. Okay, I'm gonna put a post up because I'd like to be able to hopefully give some people bunnies so that they can start writing more. They don't have to be very long. Heck, you can even write a drabble! If something catches your eye, then go for it! This post will be on prompt ideas. These are just of few of the things that have been rattling around in my head: #1 - Write either a continuation of a scene, or about a scene that was mentioned but never shown. - What happened when Sam and the Devil went for that Bloomin' Onion?
- How badly did Gladys beat Steve at racquetball?
- How exactly did Gladys extract that Christmas sweater vessel?
#2 - Write about a scene that while not specifically mentioned, we know had to happen. - Describe the Devil showing Sock the new apartment.
- Ted discovering his bicurious ad on the internet.
- Ted punishing Sock, Ben, and Sam for the bicurious ad on the internet.
- Sock's mom's reaction to his chainsaw-destroyed car.
#3 - Write about the internal feelings of the characters during or after a scene. - Ben's thoughts on his Grandma now accepting him.
- Ted's frustration at the cameras disappearing.
- Andi's shock at seeing Sam cut some guy's head off.
- The Devil's morose about no one afraid of him and/or working for him on Halloween.
- Sam's reflections holding the necklace Andi refused (in the scene where his dad gets mad the Devil won't see him)
- Kyle's jealousy on seeing his brother's window-broken car.
#4 - Add Josie to any Sam/Ben/Sock/Andi scene. How would she have changed it. #5 - Heh. Actually Ted's really good. Anything him. I keep thinking of more things for him, like what his reaction must have been when he showed up after the soul in Charged destroyed the Bench. #6 Backstories: - Any of the escaped souls.
- Ted and his gambling addiction.
- Ted and his shoes addiction.
- Ben's family, especially Uncle Hector.
Any more ideas? I can add them to the list. Maybe we can do a prompt post at reaperfic. Make a challenge or something? |

So ignore if this makes no sense, but it might to some of you. Trying to write a Battlestar Galactica story. Need a preferably tall, male character from some other TV show or movie with a space, adventure, time-travel OR apocalyptic theme for a cross-over. And, er, light romance with Chief Galen Tyrol. That could be the person in the picture prompt here (scan down; mirror shot). I have my reasons. |

Wow, I didn't think of that! Hey, I'm exalting you for the idea. Jayne/Tyrol, hmmmm. Jayne might be too hairy to match the pic, though, and possibly not sensitive enough.
I'm also intrigued by Jack or Sawyer. However, I don't watch that show, so would need some help from others here to get a handle (!) on them as characters. Even a very brief handle; it's a very short story.
You know, writing fanfic really changes a person.

.) While I don't normally do OT3's (too many limbs, and I don't know who is touching who where and when), if you wanted to write the three of them together, that's alright too. Their relationship (together, and separately - pairing them off) is the epitome of friendship and it's exactly what I look for when I look for that kind of dynamic, so I have to request more fanfic for it!
