Stay away from ABC Family! They're no good!

That's true. They cancelled The Middleman* after one season (and did so w/o officially announcing it). I think Reaper paired w/ Leverage on TNT could work well.
Coming back a day later to get the name of the show correct.

In the spirit of experimentation, I sent an email to Toyota, saying something like "I saw the Prius on the TV show Reaper, and it's cooler than I thought, I'm thinking of a hybrid, and (etc)" which is not a lie, I am thinking of a hybrid next. And, here are the ways to contact these other networks. Warning about how to word the Subject Line--networks are dicey about receiving any creative suggestions, and instantly delete anything that sounds like it might be. So, avoid words like "suggestion" or "idea." Uh, I think. --SyFy: feedback@scifi.com -- Comedy Central-- TNT TNT, 1010 Techwood Dr. NW, Atlanta GA 30318; Viewer Line is 404-885-4538. -- Spike-- ABC Family-- USA Network Contact page with email form and mail addressDirecTV Syndication RE: ABC Family, yeah, kwy, they're trouble, but I'm with Blue, we're trying to stay alive (partial) season by season, just so we can do Save Our Show and Cancellation Watch again next year!

RE: ABC Family, yeah, kwy, they're trouble, but I'm with Blue, we're trying to stay alive (partial) season by season, just so we can do Save Our Show and Cancellation Watch again next year! That's the thing, ABC Family are not known for listening to reasons for a second chance. If a dumb new show has more viewers than quality show "X", "X" gets axed. No questions asked. It doesn't matter if quality show "X" saved the network in the first place. ABC Family are just a bunch of ungrateful bastards.

tvseriesfinale.com/articles/reaper-petition/The petition reached 1500 signatures (for 3 weeks that's great) and we're about a week from the CW's big decision. It sounds like they have their minds made up. So you should start sending them all the stuff you've done to get the show back for a third season. You may be able to change their minds. Repeatedly send e-mails with links to all the campaigning you've done and all the articles that say Reaper should return. It may work, you never know.

I have emailed them the petition link twice, and added it to my letters. I'll email them again. I'm even trying to get a downloadable copy to print out and mail to them (but don't think it will make it on time). Maybe I should make a campaign to just have everybody email the CW the petition link. Any ideas? I like the idea of sending them all the "Reaper should live" stuff. That's gonna be a bitch to gather though - not to mention, several of the places are illegal Reaper uploads. You would not believe how much I've trolled youtube in particular. >

I'm up for trying to print out the petition and send it to the CW and ABC. Blue, let me know what you were thinking. I understand the green considerations, but I could probably do it in a way that could limit the number of pages.
Meanwhile, I sent this to the CW and ABC.

Ok, petition printed out and I will send to CW, ABC, Mark Gordon Company, and Fazekas/Butters if I can find addresses for all of them. Michelle and Tara, it's just to show them how nice the comments are. I''ll post my letter here when it's written. And a photo of the document. The comments are pretty cool, actually. People should go and read them at the site! Inspiring!

I did a shorter version for the actors, deleted a lot of the SAVE REAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ones. I should find a place to link these if people don't want to page thru the actual petition website, because the comments are really really good, some of them. Mailed the other ones today. Hey, at least they'll know we care.

Ha, thanks pace. I have to do something since I don't have a soul to sell, I don't think.
But, when it comes to promoting the show, posting on sites, keeping the newsfeed up, linking vids...I have to take a back seat to blue. With my seatbelt on, of course, so she doesn't make me watch scary videos.

I'm making the rounds to the "other" networks linked above to encourage them to consider Reaper, mentioning that the petition is up to 1,800, there are numerous fansites and fangroups, etc. OH and here's the letter I sent with the petition to the actors. Not really about promoting the show, but just so.

Hey ck, don't forget to include Current TV in your rounds. Reaper might be too "big" for them but you never know if they're actually interested in having that kind of shows . I already e-mailed them and even posted an article at their website, which is pretty interesting, let me add. Sorry for not chatting with you tonight. I have stuff to do in the morning. Hopefully I'll talk to you during the week. C ya Later!

Hey, I've been catching up on some Chinese boards, and Reaper fans over there are itching for a season 3, too. They can't write much English, but if only there's a way we can harness that part of the fandom and put it to some good use. Thoughts? Ideas?

Can you post there and refer them to the petition, at least? Doesn't take much language skills for that. Or, the CW email, and give them some sample language they can use to make it easier?
Cool idea!

Or, the CW email, and give them some sample language they can use to make it easier? Cool idea! Yeah, give them something simple to say in English that they can copy over, like "Please renew Reaper, I love the show" or something. And have them spread the word, if they can. Petition good too (1894!), but email goes directly to the CW.

It has now reached 1900 signatures. Once it hits 2000 signatures we need to e-mail it like crazy to the CW! We are only a week away from determining the show's fate!

OMG, that's an awesome picture.
I posted at a Hong Kong forum and it looks like some of the people there signed. Maybe I ought to find some mainland China forums less localized to one city and that would find us more sheer numbers of people. Hee.
Oh, and I now have plans to make my own Wrenchy Bench and mail it to the CW. But a flat one, like Flat Stanley but more wrench shaped.

Any thoughts about what more we can do for "strong lobbying by the fans" and/or with the petition? And in the grasping at straws division, this blogger was at a fashion show this week and met Tyler and Missy in Vancouver. I know they are both Canadian, but anyway!

Okay, everyone, look up your CW affiliate here (if you have one) and write to them asking them to pick up Reaper for Sundays. www.cwtv.com/stationsHere's what I wrote. I'm also going to send a snail mail copy of the letter I wrote to the execs with the petition, upgrading the text to say 2,000 signatures! "The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that CW Affiliates may pick up a third season of Reaper to run Sunday nights. I'm here to say that we have a devoted fanbase here in the Bay Area for this show. Tim Goodman has been a supporter in the past, and I co-run a fansite for Reaper and am in several fan groups with collectively thousands of members. I'm sending a letter and petition shortly! Reaper can get ratings for Sunday night!"

Does everyone here agree that we need to hop on this possibility right away by writing our local CW affiliates? I have already written to WBNX in the Cleveland area. I think this might be our best/only shot of saving the show. I think everyone needs to e-mail their stations. My e-mail stated how 2 million of us have proven we will follow the show anywhere it is programed. I also mentioned the additional 400k to 600k every week that DVR the show, for an average audience of 2.5 million. I also mentioned that the loss of Michele and Tara should not deter them from considering the continuation of the show, since the other producers can carry on (after all, they wrote only one episode this year). Also mentioned that Tyler's loss should not deter because Ray and Brett are the real stars of the show. Actually the more devil we get the better!!! Especially if the use Tyler the way they did this year. Last but not least, the removal of the parent CW network from the scene can let the producers get away from the 18-34 demo plots and subplots and get back to what made the show what it was last year.

Remember how quick all the other news agencies were to pick up on the Hollwood Reporter "Reaper is Dead" news flash? Let's hope that they are just as quick to spread this story!
