So true, random. I don't think we've heard why, but I fear it was to make way for the newer, younger women they're featuring so prominently in the promo. Sigh. It's sad, because I'm a big Josie fan.

With the Work Bench out of the story, I wonder if we'll see Ted for a while. Hopefully they're not really chucking them out of there permanently, but I assume they are done with the old apartment and will be getting a new place. I don't think the Bench is out for long though. I could have sworn one of the promo pics had them in their Bench uniforms. |

Oh and I love that promo too! It's nice to see some real character focus, the relationshippy stuff will hopefully interest more viewers. I'm okay with it, the promo was cute and pretty funny. "Anything you want to tell me?" "Uh, I'm allergic to tree nuts?"

Tree nuts are nuts that grow on trees of course, as opposed to peanuts which really aren't nuts at all. Some people have peanut allergies, some are allergic to tree nuts. (Of course if I was Blue I would just provide the wikipedia link but I'm lazy and would rather bravely attempt a definition of my own  ) |

Oh definately. Since the show hasn't been on(good going there CW, repeats would've been wonderful!), I haven't been in the "zone", but seeing the promos and everything is getting me excited again.  The writer for episode 2 has done some pretty good work. He only wrote one other Reaper episode, "Coming to Grips", which was fantastic by itself, but he's also worked on Desperate Housewives which is frickin hysterical as well. I think this should work out well. |

What a gift! That was actually four separate clips strung together in one vid. The best one was the last one. I cracked up at the Star of David and the Devil's "mazel tov" line. And they gave away a big reveal in this sneak peek -- the fact that Sam is only one of many many children the Devil has or have had and that he's been sort of auditioning them all to see who will be the true heir apparent and destroy the world, and therefore Sam may not be as special as he thinks (at least he's certainly not getting any special dispensation now). That's a lot of information from one little clip.
And Sock is still hilarious. I can't wait for next Tuesday now that we have actual clips.

1. Hating Kristin. If they're going to hire someone just because of how they look in panties, could they at least get someone who can at least somewhat act too? I'm not expecting Anne Hathaway, but c'mon. We're not even getting an Elizabeth Berkeley! 2. The awl was...uh, interesting. Reminded me of the creepy "Buffalo Gals" knife scene, but not as creepy. This one was more "whuh?" 3. Okay, liked the first part of the summoning scene, but it quickly devolved from there. Granted we haven't seen the whole episode, but it seems like a whole reset from last season - not to mention a near retcon and/or continuity issue. Sam's status is simply "one of the Devil's many kids"? The Devil's forced all his kids to work for him? (And it sounded like as Reapers.) Then why the Hell did we get the Steve/Tony "the Devil doesn't hang with just anyone" "I've seen reapers, but none like you" "Have you ever seen the Devil show mercy to anyone before?" "There must be a higher plan for you" and of course, Steve's goofy grin. Not to mention what we know about Morgan. I mean, unless Morgan is younger than 21 (which I seriously doubt), Sam is DEFINITELY being treated different than at least one of his soon-to-be-discovered siblings. 4. Same scene. I really wish the Devil had said "despoiled" instead of "soiled" because....ew. Just ew. Also, Devil and Mrs. Oliver? Ew. Just ew. PLEASE let there be some twist to this. It's icky. 5. To add on to #3 re continuity/reset issues: And how does Sam find out the truth? Does Mom suddenly have a change of heart in the first five minutes of the premiere ("Mom, was Dad my real father" <determined look from Mom> "Of course he was")? Does the Devil decide to change his mind about "I respect you too much to lie to you, so I tell you now I will most likely lie to you?" I mean, what the hell about the mystique of Sam's paternity? Like there was some big secret that Sam didn't know (by that I mean, it seemed all season and in the finale that Sam wasn't supposed to know know that he was Satan spawn; that no one - Mom, Dad, *and* Devil - seemed to want to tell him anything - and in fact, seemed like they specifically wanted to keep the truth from him; and/or that there was still some additional twist to the paternity "I can't tell you or it will ruin everything"). At the very least, if Sam's the Devil's son, then why the Hell didn't they just tell him on his 21st birthday? Why spend the year pretending Sam was simply a sold soul, and then in the finale STILL keep it it from him, and act like it's some greater good that he doesn't know?  ? And then, suddenly do a 180 about the whole thing in the very next episode - even if it *is* an episode that airs 10 months later! It's only set about a month or so after "Cancun" apparently. 6. Thank heavens Michele's quote about Sam trying to use his Devil connections to see what he could get away with is answered. That really annoyed me when it came out, because Sam is totally not like that. He's not someone who'd use his "dad's" connections for simple pleasure, like courtside tickets to the Lakers or something. HOWEVER, he's totally the type of kid who'd try to use his ties to try to get out of his reaping job. Well, he *is* the Devil, and would presumably like sex. A lot. I can't exactly see him taking responsibility for it, nor being overly fond of using condoms.  |

I think we need to wait and see what it turns out to really be. They're not going to resolve all of that in the first five minutes of episode one. That's the danger of watching clips.

Okay, I've finally viewed the clips, and it looks like the Sam/Andi clip *is* an official release, but the person who's put it up *isn't* official, so I'm just going to link to it and you can decide for yourself. Honestly, it's worth it just to see Bret's mohawk. EDITED because MWHAHAHAHA I love Reapersite. It *is* an official release: Also, I checked out the Bret interview, and it's completely AWESOME. However, there *are* spoilers, although not too much that either hasn't already been officially released, or something you couldn't guess on your own. It's mainly in the form of scenes (with no sound) from upcoming episodes (and identifying specific episodes when stuff we already know will happen). I'll put the link up too if you don't want to venture into the Spoiler section, so that you won't get *that* stuff as well. You can always comment on the news blog without an account, if you don't want to go to the spoiler section and maybe accidentally get spoiled by non-Bret interview info.
