Oh, and more from NickC about the CW Plus: "Some one asked, they're not really a viable option. It's possible to get them but combined they aren't even equal to one of the top 10 stations. Still if you want to try: www.yourcwtv.com is their web site, yes it looks a lot like CW, but it is different."

cko, could you please get Jenny to have Missy post something on her Twitter about the campaign. She has 1,100 followers and it would be nice to tap that resource for the e-mail campaign. All she has to do is give the CW site with the station contacts (http://www.cwtv.com/stations) and tell fans to e-mail.

Of course that Bret Harrison is a fake. So they're going to call the real cast and crew fakes! Jenny Wade is real. Missy and members of the crew have Twitters too. Bret asked how to find a twitter for Wade on his account. Why not just text her and ask?

I would love to see Bret come out and comment somewhere about what he thinks of the campaign.

I know it's hard to organise such things but I keep thinking back to the family guy thing where it turned out that DVD sales brought things back. I guess if everyone on the forum at least bought both DVD boxsets it would be a step forward at least....small scale I know but still.
Being in the UK and Channel 4 (E4) already being contacted I'm not terribly sure what else can be done right now. I do think the UK ratings would need to do well for them to want to pick it up again for a potential 3rd series.
Have to say though guys your dedication on this matter is fantastic and I will help out anyway I can, love the show and after the way it's went it just has to be continued. I just wish it found itself on a better timeslot and channel as I'm sure viewers would have flocked to it.

I guess if everyone on the forum at least bought both DVD boxsets it would be a step forward at least....small scale I know but still. DVD sales and pre-orders are in fact very important. Every fan that intends to buy the season two DVDs should definitely pre-order at amazon because the studios are aware of those things and they matter. You can absolutely do more if you'd like. Even if you see a channel or affiliate has already been contacted, contact them yourself. Numbers matter. Also contact ABC Studios (link is on the main page) and thank them for their support of the show and let them know you are an international viewer. International sales also matter. Well you can include yourself in those props, thanks for your support.

He's right, though. Chuck had a whole Franchise supporting it. We're just fans. Our efforts are the same, but chances are more people heard about saving Chuck than they did about saving Reaper.

He's right, though. Chuck had a whole Franchise supporting it. We're just fans. Our efforts are the same, but chances are more people heard about saving Chuck than they did about saving Reaper. Actually, no he's not. Subway never started anything. What Chuck had was "just a fan" that came up with a great idea and a reporter wrote about it. If a campaign can get written by someone big - particularly someone/something with a large following, that's when it becomes important and gets noticed. As "rabid" as our fanbase is, I'm sorry, but it really didn't take off - let alone be taken seriously with a decent chance of success - until Nick C. wrote about the show in his blog and we got attached to it. (Thanks, Nick!) And we didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell no matter what we did until The Hollywood Reporter mentioned ABC was still in talks. (Thanks, THR!) Not to mention that we are giving something to ABC that's just as important as an advertiser: the affiliates who will buy the show. ABC said they wanted to sell Reaper into syndication, and that is precisely what we are doing for them. We're not simply writing in "Please Save Our Show", we're convincing the people who would literally buy the show to actually BUY it, and more important - we're telling ABC: this is where you need to go, we've already got it lined up for you. They have even told us they are waiting for you, ABC, to give them the contract so that they can sign on the dotted line. Here is the proof in the form of a letter written by a Station Manager [or whoever] him/herself. What we really need is a newspaper reporter to write about our campaign - preferably a biggie that gets sent around, like the LA Times, Entertainment Weekly, TVGuide, Variety, THR, etc. But so far, we've only been lucky with TVByTheNumbers. (Thanks TVByTheNumbers!) And yes, that was *very* hard to say. I'm no fan of TVBTN, but I have to give credit where credit is due, and they did do us a solid.

Alan is the person who started the whole Subway thing for saving CHUCK. So he's going to sit and say "My campaign was better!" There is no avoiding that.
The ball is in ABC's court, I hear Tribune is interested in picking up REAPER for all their affiliates.
I don't know how anyone could not be a fan of TVBTN. All they care about is numbers. It's like TSCC fans saying they hated the show because they reported it was dead because of ratings. They reported REAPER was dead because CW treated it poorly and the ratings weren't good enough.
Bill and Robert are good guys, and I think they both realized that sometimes numbers aren't all that is in a decision. At least not viewing numbers.

I guess Nick could post this himself, but new post up at his blog has some excellent suggestions as usual. I actually like the ideas he says not to do too, like donate money somewhere in honor of the show? Intriguing! But no, we won't. So if folks can get petitions organized in your local areas of these two groups (locations linked in this thread, and on the main page) then do it! And keep on with the advertisers idea, which I haven't gotten anywhere with, but a lot of you are so resourceful.

Chip (hi chip!) posted his response over at imdb. He said I could copy it over here: Thank you for your submission. The CW channel 6 here locally has indicated that they will continue airing the show "Reaper" for an indefinite period. Fox 5 will continue to air "Legend of the Seeker" until further notice. On May 19, 2009, Reaper was officially cancelled by the CW. However, ABC Studios is still in negotiations with CW affiliates to syndicate the show, or sell it to cable. It may take another week or so before a final decision is made and yes it is possible to have a package deal with the two shows.I think we've seen that one before. However, he got another one from his FOX affiliate that he said I could post too: Hi Chip,
I've read in the trade that Twentieth Television was exploring the possibility of bringing Reaper into first-run syndication to help CW affiliates who will now have to locally program Sunday nights. Tribune has 16 CW affiliates and it is an issue for those stations. It would be tough for us to find the room as FOX programs every night and weekends throughout the year with sports. That being said I think Reaper is an underappreciated program, well written and well acted. If it does come to first run syndication it would have no issue finding a home in the Sacramento market.
One twist however. Tyler Labine (Sock) has been signed to star in the new FOX show Sons of Tucson which will air after the first of the year. That might make his availability to continue with Reaper difficult.
Thanks for the note.
Bob RamseyMake sure to forward those in, chip. I'm looking for 20th Television stuff now. www.20thtelevision.com/login.asp

I would say I meekly tolerate how much they like to annoy me. ;D and no i did *not* remember my signature when i wrote that, although in my defense it's a quote from cko....stupid cko

Yes, and it's a perfect summary of the current situation, including links and a POLL so people go there and vote for Reaper to continue; it can't hurt! If you want to post a link to this article and need a shorter one, here's what I used on Twitter: bit.ly/12drYNAnd WHAT blue you do so love cats. And you don't meekly anything.

Garg ... register on ANOTHER board just to ... post ... save show ... sheesh. Anyways. I wrote our local affiliate, and actually received a response. This surprised me... While it certainly doesn't qualify as hope, it at least qualifies as attention. I would include what I wrote, but I cannot imagine that you folks are interested in things like age, purchase habits, and income brackets like the advertising guys are. Cheers!
