Just wanna say that I've emailed my local affiliate too, but don't know if I got to the right person, since the Tribune affiliates revamp, the site has been quite convoluted. So if you can get the right email from southflorida.com then PLEASE tell me. I contacted the webmasters one, but anywho... That's the paper, right? I'm not really sure *who* exactly you'd email, but I went to some TV articles, and everyone has their email address at the bottom. It looks like they copy over the LA Times articles. Here are a few: robert.lloyd@latimes.com tony.perry@latimes.com maria.elena.fernandez@latimes.comcalendar@latimes.com ETA: Bwah! I whined about not finding Ms. Fernandez's email in my last post, and I had it all the time.

Excellent letter, pace, I am doing a hybrid between yours and one blue posted earlier. I've emailed reporters at the two papers in my area, and three others on blue's list; will continue on the list and try commenting on the sites where possible, since a lot of that coverage is "What's on tonight: Reaper says goodbye" and the like.
Everyone who can help by writing and commenting, it's great. Especially since I think I'm now banned at a lot of these sites, and can no longer claim to be Queen of the Internet. Dethroned!

I haven't read the latest posts, so we might already know this. But I thought I'd post this right away so we can get cracking on it. This is the reply I got from Portland, Maine:Hi Bill, Thanks for taking the time to write us a note and share your ideas and thoughts. The only way we know what viewers want or think is when they contact us. Whether it's a compliment, a complaint or a question, we welcome any and all feedback. You are correct that Disney/ABC has committed to another season of Reaper, even though The CW network will not be airing the program. With The CW exiting Sunday night the affiliate stations have been put in a position to come up with their own programming. The first reaction to that scenario was MGM Studios contacting us and offering all CW affiliates the movie package that they had sold to The CW network. That package includes a number of James Bond, Rocky and Tom Hanks movies. Two of the largest broadcast groups in the country (Tribune and Sinclair) signed up for the movies on their CW affiliates. We contracted for the movies and will continue to make Sunday night a movie night. We also talked with the Disney/ABC people and have asked them for a contract for Reaper. We are planning on airing it from 7-8PM on Sunday nights this fall. While we have not received the completed paperwork I don't expect any problem getting Reaper here in Portland. Hopefully many of the 2.5 million loyal fans live in Maine and will enjoy seen new episodes of Reaper! Again, thanks for you note. I appreciate your thoughts and suggestion. Thanks, Doug Doug Finck General Manager WPXT-TV (The CW) 4 Ledgeview Drive Westbrook, ME 04092 207.774.0051 x155 207.774.6849 (fax) www.ourmaine.comThe most important item in this e-mail is the reference to the "Sinclair" broadcast group. Did we know about this one? Also, note his comment that "the only way the station knows what we like is if we contact them". So I'd have to reiterate that we need to keep writing. Write to all of the stations that you can find e-mails for. I've probably written 75 CW affiliates already.[/b][/i][/color]

This from Danell Winter of one of the :"Tribune" stations. This could be a "form" reply or it could mean that they are getting many e-mails!:
Thanks for your feedback. We're keeping track of all comments.
The Promotion Manager, Jeff Bartel, at WIWB - Wisconsin's CW is also a fan:
hi
I’m also a fan of Reaper, and hope that we do pick it up. A number of factors will go into the decision, including viewer feedback such as yours.
Really, the big challenge for Reaper is getting some of the large station groups to sign up. If they can get enough stations to agree to air it, Reaper should be back.
We haven’t had a formal presentation to buy the show yet – but we’ll certainly strongly consider it.
Thank you for your feedback, and watching Wisconsin ’s CW!
jdb Jeff.Bartel@WisconsinsCW.com
If anyone else has the time, more e-mails to these stations certainly couldn't hurt!

I just looked up the Sinclair Broadcast Group and their web address is: www.sbgi.net/index.shtml. I went under the "contact us" heading and "e-mail". I seems like the best choice under the e-mail drop down menu is to select "Corporate" and hope that it is directed to the correct person, unless someone else has a better thought.

I know that TV By The Numbers is not a favorite site for some of us, but I decided to write Bill Gorman (he has been pretty decent about his coverage of Reaper) to ask if he could write something on their site about what is going on with Reaper's syndication efforts. Well, he came through for us. I just looked at the site and he has an article on Reaper!

We are all ralllying to save The Reaper. I have been on all the petition sites available to me (that I am aware) at this time, and have forwarded to my friends. We all hope and pray that The Reaper continues on for at least another season. I look forward to watching faithfully each week and know that this show is worthy of renewal. Internationally, the Reaper has gained popularity and so our network is going global. LONG LIVE THE REAPER. Thanks to all for your support.

wdpender you win the prize for the best posting and emailing, and intel-gathering. Well, actually blue does, but she's disqualified from winning prizes here. Sorry, blue. And thanks for joining us, virtue, and welcome! When we've saved the show we'll do better at the get-to-know-you.

An interesting and informative reply (about the CW plus group) from a small station in Maine: Hi, Bill.
I had read about this,as well, but haven't heard how far along with this effort they have come. I also expect that the efforts will depend upon them acquiring major market clearances first, so we are unlikely to hear anything unless and until they do clear at least New York or L.A. (or both).
I also wonder if they will take it to the "CW Plus" group before they approach the individual stations who are "plus" affiliates (which are all CW affiliates who like us are in the 100+ size markets). If so, we can only wait to see if The CW Plus will pick it up, or not, as they program all of our weekend time periods up to 2:00am..
Outside of the CW and The CW Plus affiliates, it may be a tough sell for this fall, as most major affiliate stations have already booked time periods, and, historically, ABC Studios can be pretty demanding about specific time period requirements. I would consider the show a good acquisition for our primary (CBS) station, but I would need some scheduling flexibility in order to launch it this year.
Best bet for us would be for the CW Plus to take it on Sunday night. Maybe they will, but that's in their hands. If they don't, I'll take a look at it.

Ack! CW Plus! What the hell is that and how do we write to them???
Also - check it out. Jonathon Storm from the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote me back and gave us some seriously good advice:
It is simply a matter of ABC Studios finding enough support from CW affiliates (and other independent stations) to sell the show into first-run syndication. This is a rare instance of a canceled show actually having a decent chance of getting renewed, albeit in a different form. I would say the odds are slightly on the positive side. And I think your idea of writing to individual stations is one of the first times where such a write-in campaign may actually start out with a reasonable chance of succeeding. Important for people to identify their demographic – 26-year-old male, 19-year-old female, whatever – if they are between the ages of 18 and 49. Good luck. What do you think? I bet it'll still air somewhere in Canada, but it seems like he's not the one to ask really.

well it took a week but i finally got a response from my affiliate here:
Manny,
Thanks for your comments regarding Reaper. I’m way ahead of you on this one. I had given the distributors of Reaper an upfront verbal commitment if they decided to continue the show. I was suppose to have an answer last week, but it looks like they need another week to decide if they are moving forward. The only way this won’t happen on our end is if they come back with contract terms that are unacceptable.
Hopefully, Reaper will be on CW-6 Fall line-up!
Thanks for watching CW-6!

From a smaller market station in Missouri:
Thank you for contacting us regarding Reaper. Mid Missouri’s CW is part of the CW 100 Plus Station Group. The group acquires programs for small market CW affiliates like ours. I too hope Reaper will be part of the Sunday night lineup. The show has local following we hope will continue.
Thanks for contacting us and for watching Mid Missouri’s CW.
Garrett, Matthew C. GarrettM@missouri.edu
And this guy didn't get what we are trying to say at all:
Hello,
First and foremost we would like to thank you for watching the CW. Unfortunately the decision to renew or cancel a show lies in the hands of the corporation's board of directors and its CEO. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you continue watching.
Thanks
