Found the lol_Reaper community, which is a good place for all you who like to manip pics. If any of you have seen any of TWoP's Pixel Challenges then you'll know what it's all about. (Pace - you should like the one from pigtails: Men's Blowing Shit Up.) It's a fun art form, on the order of making icons - only these are much bigger. Bonus: really cool Portal song. ETA: friggin' word filter. Onyourmark if you can fix this and make it permanent then change the filter back. It even modified the url address.

Big Japan has made some Reaper mood themes. Here's the preview list for all of them. I love 'exhausted'. I'm trying to get that as an icon. Boo though that she did Sam/Cady for 'loved'. |

Annoyingly enough, like none of my friends watch the show. It bothers me to no end because then I rant and reference things from it and they never get it...

I don't know but I have had the experience of trying to get friends into and having them not get it. One really tried because he was a big Michael Ian Black fan. He liked those episodes but couldn't get into the show. Reaper totally grabs me, so it's hard for me to get when it doesn't grab someone else, I wish I knew how to help them but it's just a certain taste I get. It helps if you find the characters or actors compelling of course, like I do with Sam/Devil and Bret/Ray. I know I need to really attach to a character to get hooked into a show. |

I've managed to get two friends to watch, one regularly and one only as long as I watch it with her. The first one is uber-Catholic and I was a little wary about introducing it to her (and this was before the awesomely gay demons, even!), but once we sat down and watched it together...I think she genuinely enjoyed it. Better than Dogma, which I'd likewise forced her to watch  She promised to watch a couple more episodes but I don't think she got around to seeing the last few, and I stopped pushing her over it. And then there's one of my other best friends, who is Sikh, but newly fascinated by religions in general, and who apparently watched all of the episodes within five days of each other. Ah, the beauty of sidereel.com. She loved Steve and Tony, which surprised me, honestly, because she can be a little iffy about that sort of thing, and she got a lot of me explaining the whole souls/demons/angels stuff as best I could out of it, when she finally watched it all the way through. So: Reaper, bringing a kind of religious understanding to the masses, since 2007. |

I'm hoping Tripledrop will post these Reaper labels somewhere where everyone can get to them. Otherwise, you have to register in order to see them (very easy) and earn points in order to see them all and download them (not so easy). |
