Just wanted to share something really creepy with you guys...
1. Reaper and Kyle XY, both great shows with excellent casting and clever writing, were cancelled way before their time and had somewhat lame endings. They were produced by ABC Studios.
2. Both Reaper and Kyle XY were set in Seattle, WA, but Vancouver, in Canada, was used as the real filming location.
3. Both shows featured a Toyota Prius. It is Sam’s car on Reaper and it was featured as the first prize in a competition on Kyle XY.
4. Both shows used the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts as filming location at some point. It was the Madacorp H.Q. on Kyle XY and the reunion place for the Demon Rebellion on Reaper.
5. Actor Conrad Coates was a guest star on both shows. He played Ballantine on Kyle XY, and Tony’s friend Kenneth on Reaper.
6. Actor Bill Dow was a guest star on both shows. He played Professor Kern on Kyle XY, and the funeral director that gave Sock $10,000 in cash on Reaper.
7. Both shows’ leads had to hide some facts about their lives to other people because they thought they would protect them that way.
8. Both shows featured a female character named Andi (or Andy), and both didn’t have a father.
9. Both shows featured a male character named Kyle. It’s the lead character on Kyle XY and was at some point the brother of Reaper’s lead character Sam.
10. Both shows’ leads have super-powers, although Sam on Reaper can’t really control them.
11. Both shows were overshadowed by other shows on their same networks that could only appeal to mentally-challenged people (over 75% of the world population, sadly).
12. Both shows’ demise was the orchestration of evil women executives at their networks. Kate Juergens at ABC Family axed Kyle XY. Dawn Ostroff (aka “Dwarf of Snot” and also “Tons of Frawd”) at The CW ended Reaper.
13. Both shows could have easily survived on cable networks, or on networks lead by men.
If you have more, please post them!
