Hi all I have read from various places about how cool it would be for there to be a Reaper movie. But really.......would it be good? For us, as fans of the show who know the situation all of the characters are in, we would like to see how the story develops as it stands. But the movie studio's are going to want to target the wider audience by introducing the characters and storyline from the beginning which means if there ever was a Reaper movie, it would probably have to be essentially 90 minutes of what we already know crammed in, and the resolve at the end. Does anyone know what I mean?

Does anyone know what I mean? Eh. I think it really depends. I thought the X-Files and Spider-man movies were fine, but then again there's always your Bewitched. Personally, I'm not gonna judge anything until I know more about it, and in this case I know pretty much nothing. Like I said about the comic book, if it comes out and it stinks, I'll revise my opinion then. But for now, if we go for nothing, we get nothing. OTOH, if we get something, at least we'll still have the chance later to change our minds.

ive heard when they do tv movies of a series, they sometimes consist of past episodes crammed into a film, which is very dissappointing

OTOH, if we get something, at least we'll still have the chance later to change our minds. the problem with cartoon and movie is that once they come out that's it. I understand cartoon-is-better-then-complete-cancellation opinion but once we go from TV series to cartoon there is 99% chance there will be no TV series again. Personally I'd rather see nothing in 2009/2010 season with the hope of 2010/2011 series continuing where S2 ended than go for cartoon. Hey, if SoT tanks and is cancelled Tyler might come back and if other core cast doesn't sign for new series (which doesn't look like will happen any time soon) there is a chance of Reaper being what it was. If they sign for movies that could actually raise the profile for Reaper as people would see the movie and then watch the show to see actors/actress they liked there on TV as well. Movie and comic are more or less same. Movie will close the story, comic likely as well. So again no chances of series comming back.
