I'm working on a homepage for our save reaper initiative. It'll probably be kinda crappy since I don't know too much about web code, but here's a first pass at a logo. I'll get started on the real work tomorrow.

Fantastic, deathrabbit! Let us know what we can do to help. I have a good connection for a webhost if that helps, friend of novium's and it's very reasonable...Keep up the good work, and others who have ideas and/or skills, post here!

Well I have a prototype up at www.uahunderground.com/savereaperI still need to pretty up some things and add the links to the campaign info, but it's looking promising imo.

Wicked start, DR! I'd suggest using a <center> tag around the entire table and reduce the "border" specs inside the main table tag (and the secondary one-- looks like there are two?) to "0".
Would it be alright if I took a crack at this layout sometime soon? I'd love to contribute.
Also, guys, looking forward-- are we thinking of adding content to our "home page" that we haven't had here, or reorganizing information previously posted here a little more coherently (i.e. the ep recaps, archiving fanart/fic)?

I think the primary goal is organization. That seems to be what Blue has stressed to me. I actually like the secondary broder, but I'll mess around with it. Definitely agree with the centering. I'll put the source on Google code or something later today. As a side note, it looks better in firefox.

Wow, this is great. Mark, I think we are wanting an organizational page, but maybe the format will give us ideas about new content that the board format didn't allow. And that's the extent of my knowledge of such things.
Thanks to both of you for working on this! And, er, Mark, if you're looking for another project, I've been wondering about the header here. I don't want to change our overall look now, since it's familiar to people, but I'd love to see an update especially with Jenny Wade on it, though as a Josie fan I hate to see Val go....

okay you can now get at all the stuff by going to www.uahunderground.com/forReaperusername and password are both reaperDMV If someone could figure out how to stop the vertical alignment of the second table from looking like crap on IE, I'd love it. Just email me any modifications you make. zennex4325@hotmail.com

Oh and btw, if you all need another forum to waste time on, feel free to sign up to uahunderground.com/forum . The site is technically for students, but traffic has been kinda low lately so I'd welcome new posters of any kind.

Well I have a prototype up at www.uahunderground.com/savereaperI still need to pretty up some things and add the links to the campaign info, but it's looking promising imo. IMO2! I really want something with a url that will get past Wikipedia's nazis, among other places. Since cko and I have pan-banned the ReaperDMV url we need something else. And things aren't organized, at least IMO. It's really annoying, and even more annoying that I can't figure it out. BTW - I am TOTALLY down with the flyers. I've got i-d-e-a-s. I'll work on them tomorrow night. I think I want the Receipt one to be a Wanted poster, and a Watch and/or Write one to be a Reaper Wants You. Well, I want *here* to be more coherent. Things are bugging me, but I can't quite figure out what, or how to fix it. Actually, that kinda describes my state on *everything* right now to be honest. holding.progressivenation2009.com/ www.uahunderground.com/deathrabbit/newsitems.txt

Hey, so how did you get the reaperdmv.com to point to the actual forum? When we register savereaper.com, we need some way of pointing it to the actual site location.

Well, I'll do some more work on the page tomorrow. I was lazy today, but I did refresh my php knowledge that'll I'll need for the news updater. My ultimate goal now is to create you guys an admin page that will let you specify what you want shown on the homepage.

As far as organizing the stuff here, I'd suggest a news fader. Something like this. jdstiles.com/java/newsfader.htmlYou should just be able to copy and paste his code, then find the messages he's displaying and replace them with yours. There might be better ones out there, tho. This is just the first one I saw.

This is great, deathrabbit, and onyourmark and anyone else who can pitch in. I'm cheering from the sidelines since clearly I have no idea about most of this. But I'm willing to learn!

Alrighty, the admin function of the home page is now complete. I need to chat with you guys later to mention a few specific things, but, sun, I'd say you can go ahead and register savereaper.com. Just let me know if you need any info from me in order to do that, I'm not familiar with process of tying domain names to locations on t3h interwebs.

Okay, DR, fantastic! I shall check it out. Blue, let me know what is needed with the domain name and I can set it up if you do all the work. If you know what I mean.
