This thread is for guest stars we recognize from other places. We've had a couple from Buffy (Holly/Harmony and Dennis/Rack) and a few from BSG (Cassidy/Dee, demon messenger/Chief and random demon/random crew guy). Oh, there was that guy from Revenge of the Nerds right? Who else have we seen that we know well?

Well, it was a big, reoccurring role, but Michael Ian Black made a name for himself on VH1 pre-appearance.

"Revenge of the Nerds"? Revenge of the Nerds? Damn. I'm almost embarrassed to know you at this point. That was the most awesome Curtis Armstrong, aka Bert Viola (so cute with Agnes!) from Moonlighting

What? He's married to Nia Vardalos of My Big Fat Greek Wedding? For some reason that seems strange to me.

I had a chance to ask Aaron Douglas, the Devil Delivery Guy from early in Season One, a quick question at Live Journal. Here it is! Sadly no big scoops. He seems like a really cool guy, that he would even post at this comm and answer questions. I'd love to meet him. (In case you don't know, he's more known for his fairly major role on Battlestar Galactica.) No other questions about Reaper, no surprise, but some might find it interesting anyway.

That's such a cool thing for him to do. I love actors who use the internet to connect with their fans. And great that you caught that and got to ask him a question!

Oooh, thank you, Blue. Marlena always brightens my day, and nice that she got a mention there. Anyone else interested in TV Squad's Hottest Female Non-Humans? Check out that link. BTW #1 is Summer Glau from Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I know I'm getting overly-PC, but I'm excited that Boomer made the list; not a lot of women (or men) of color in sci-fi/fantasy/TV-in-general, so I always like it when one gets attention. I feel like Ruby's cheating though, since she's swiped more than one hot female possessee. It's like she gets extra chances to make the list.

Oh, I totally agree, pending, about Boomer. I have more to say about that over at the TV thread. I didn't recognize all the characters on that list, but it was a fun one. Cylon Women rule!

Nice little interview with the lovely Jenny Wade at Sci Fi Wire where she says: "...I think ultimately Reaper is everyone's first priority, and we all want the show to come back. We're like the Little Engine That Could. It hasn't affected morale in any way with the people who have been involved. It's just professional, and we're hoping for the best. We're hoping that ABC [Studios, which produces the show,] can pull through for us and let us continue telling stories...f The Body Politic gets picked up. ... I would come back, I would do 'guest stars.' I just wouldn't be a series regular at that point. I would definitely do both shows. My heart is for Reaper. That's family." And, spoiler perhaps: "Nina's going to play a huge role in getting Sam out of his contract, too, because she's the only one in the posse who actually has access to hell and can actually go there and see the Devil face to face. And she kind of knows the ins and the outs of, you know, what it would actually take for that to happen. I think it's going to be an ongoing struggle. There's definitely some loopholes in his contract, and those loopholes are going to be exploited, too."

Jenny Wade is awesome. Have you noticed that everyone who works on Reaper loves the show? Arnie Hammer talked about how welcome he felt on the set in his CW interview. I think the CW would like it if there were fighting on the set so they would get more publicity.

A little offbeat for this thread, but one of the souls in the premiere was arrested in a gang plot. Strangely the story calls it a United Nations gang. Anyway they illustrate the story with a clip from Reaper.

One notable guest star (well two) that weren't mentioned yet are Richard Burgi (from Season 1 episode The Leak) and Mitch Pileggi (from Season 1's The Cop). Mitch is best know from X-Files and also did an episode of Birds of Prey. Burgi was the main character on The Sentinel series that aired on UPN back in the late 1990's. I also recall seeing Burgi in the second Hostel movie.
I was going to mention Aaron Douglas but he was mentioned earlier. I recall him best from some of the Canadian/American scifi co productions that aired in syndication in the 1999-2004 era. Notably, regarding Aaron, Andromeda and the BeastMaster series which he was in the 4th episode of.

Guess he's not on the show anymore. ;D

Patton Oswalt showed up as a skeevy community college "doctor" in Community! His hair is all fluffy on top, and he was hilarious.
