I just read the Deadbolt interview with Bret Harrison. One thing that really caught my attention was that he believes Reaper is not coming back: " I think the show is over if that's what you mean. Never say never until June 30th, but I'm pretty positive the show is not coming back. "My question is: what happens on June 30th? Is that the deadline for contract negotiations or what?

We've been wondering that in Chat, jeff. Don't know. Trying to think who might know...Nick C, maybe?

Maybe our contact with Jenny Wade could ask her if she knows what the significancce of June 30th might be. Maybe that is when their contract with the studio runs out and they begin tearing down the Work Bench set. That would be costly to rebuild.

I asked Jenny Wade over Twitter (), she sent me this as a response over DM:
Maybe there is some significance.

Actually, perversely, I find that hopeful. I don't know why. And MBC thanks for keeping up the Twitter presence, you and camsicle and really_mzungu and riker_donegal are doing an awesome job.
Tonight I will be setting up a new account if the reaperdmv one doesn't fix itself, and start again with tweeting people who are mentioning "reaper" but not #reaper or #savereaper to get them into the fold. That was working so well before...sigh.

No problem. Everyone has been working so wonderfully. Thanks for all of your work as well! I should go after those people too.

Oh WOW it's that time again? Damn how the year flies. It's also Rick Gonzalez's birthday, isn't it?
I guess Bret knows, and all great decisions and show savings will happen on that momentous day.

I realized I got two DMs from Jenny, had to come back:
she says more that was already said on the Dr & Mrs Who show but she also said not to repeat it, I'm assuming it should be safe now, though. So there you go, on the 30th, officially, everyone's contract expires.

I missed the Blogtalk @7pm PDT, but managed to catch the replay (Thanks to CK(@reaperdmv)?) it was mentioned that the 6/30 was the cut-off date for the receipt petition as well. This is looking pretty grim indeed

So, there is less than 14 days until the Reaper is completely is sent to hell for good? Noooooo...! Never say forever. Remember Charles in Charge. ) No, I never said that. We will be collecting receipts for as long as people want to send them to us, and the campaign does not end just because people missed a day. However, seeing as time as our enemy, I'm not going to argue with anyone who wants to try and get a push on for June 30th. The faster we can get this done, the more important we look to ABC Studios.

Yeah, jeff, it's the date when the contracts finally run out. But, remember, we're on a short term plan for that deadline, but ALSO a longer term plan for a later renewal. Therefore, we're doing a big push now, but looking ahead to how we might promote for the future. I won't keep mentioning Charles in Charge, or Futurama, but...
ETA: blue, jinx!

Just got official word that there is absolutely no chance of Reaper going another year. It has been dropped by all involved. Boooo. But on a brighter note, There is a comic book coming out and there is some serious talk of it being turned into a cartoon. That could be sweeeeet. I would definitely be into doing a voice on that show. So, I guess thats it. I am officially going to be turning this into a Tyler Labine fan page and would be flattered if you all would stay on board with me. I've become quite fond of chatting with all of you. Nice to know you're out there. If not, that's cool too. Thanks for all of your support guys. For real, you've been awesome fans. None better out there. Talk soon. TY.I don't want to cause alarm, but can anyone confirm this is true or if it's just someone toying with us?

Tyler is a dick. 'Nuff said.
I bet he saw his chance to be the one and only star in Sons of Tucson in danger so he got Bret Harrison, and probably others, into quitting the show, just so it wouldn't come back to haunt him.

I said before and I still think it's true, Tyler lost interest in promoting/fighting for reaper when SoT was picked up. at that point he was in a show, either Reaper or SoT. so his acceptance of "reaper is dead" is udnerstandable. After all, why bother fighting for a show he's not in? Jenny fought for it a lot but recently (~2 weeks) I think she gave up as well

Jenny fought for it a lot but recently (~2 weeks) I think she gave up as well One thing is losing interest and stop fighting, and another one is constantly telling the people that are still fighting for the show to give up hope ("There's no way..."), Tyler has been the only cast/crew/producer member of the show that's been saying that even before Reaper was officially canceled, and of course the only one (as far as I know) that benefits from the show being dead.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's just tired of playing Sock and wants it dead, since that means he can do SoT with a clear conscience. I can't believe his arrogance in turning a reaper fan page to his own.

Yeah, he was tired of that character, but let's face it, Tyler just plays an "older" (NOT wiser) Sock in Sons of Tucson. He won't be banging his sister, but it's still the same thing just surrounded by little kids this time. And yeah, turning Reaper's Facebook page into his shrine. What a crock!

So, it's 6/30/09... it looks like everyone's contracts (the ones who are left) officially expire. On Jenny Wade's Twitter, she indicates that she's packing up and mentions MPeregrym: packing up @mperegrym for work. everybody's leaving. waaaahhhhhh So I guess this is it? Reaper could come back next year... look what happened to Jericho! But if they decide to produce a movie (like what TNT did for the Pretender), They need to bring the whole cast back and close it out properly. I haven't given up yet... atleast Reapersite is still up, an indication or glimmer of hope!

I haven't given up yet... atleast Reapersite is still up, an indication or glimmer of hope! Heh. Yeah, I mean it's not like we didn't know this was gonna happen. A 2009/2010 season has been pretty much off the table for a bit. Goals now are definitely long-term - with of course a 2010/2011 season primary, and movie/cartoon/comic secondary. I still say aim for the stars. Who knows, we might get it - even if it's more likely at this point we'll eventually have to settle for the moon, or even Earth. At the very least we can say we tried.

They seem to be good friends, nice...
