Great news from Tyler at the Facebook group. Here's his post:

Okay. Wowee. We just finished shooting season 2. I personally think we've out done ourselves. There are some of the funniest things I've ever put on film in my entire career in this season. I am very proud of our lil' engine that could show over here. Looks like you've all clued in to the premiere date by now so all thats left to do is tell every single person you know to watch. We are on the "buuble" for a season 3 already so viewers are what we need. I was talking to Tara Butters at our wrap party the other night and she told me that we have a better chance of getting picked up for season 3 than we did for season 2. Good news. She probably didn't want me to tell everyone that but I can''t help it. There was also a rep from ABC studios there who was emphatic about how much they love what they've seen this year. It's all good shtuff. Anyways, all that aside, I'm just glad we have a new season to share with all of you. I'm pretty sure Reaper fans are the best fans out there, so, Thanks for everything guys and gals. I'll be in touch more frequently now as I unemployed for the time being. Ahhhh sweet unemployment. Gotta go, I have a lot of Family guy to watch. Bye for now. TY.

I think spreading it around is just the kind of viral marketing Reaper needs. If the network won't do it, it's up to the fans.

Does this mean all those episodes will air no matter if they don't get picked up for season 3?
(unlike the first where they were confirmed for at least 13, then had to get approval for the remaining 9)

If this was answered elsewhere/is common knowlwdge, sorry I just don't want to run into spoilers.

Good question, pod, and it isn't common knowledge. Let's see what other people here think, but previous history with other shows (not CW) tells me that we can't assume all 13 Season Two episodes will air. Networks can easily yank shows off the air at any time. Oh, I hate to even say that out loud.

The Ratings and Scheduling thread may have more speculation about this; we try to be careful about hiding spoilers or putting them in the actual password-protected Spoiler Thread, BTW.

Nope, particularly with the level of crap that the CW chooses to air instead, we were all hoping for some fail in the fall season so Reaper would come back sooner. Despite gutter ratings for Stylista and Privileged, it hasn't happened, and Reaper still got the latest possible start date (even though it was one of the networks top rated shows last season. Explain that one.)

ADDENDUM: Tyler Labine has been one of my Facebook friends ever since I interviewed him for Bullz-Eye, and when he changed his status this morning to indicate that he was “off to LA to get a new gig,” I immediately responded by asking, “Wow, is there really that little hope for a third season of ‘Reaper’?” He quickly replied, “No, no, just a big hiatus to fill up with gigs. Just a few movie ops. Season 3 is a definite maybe right now. I’ll keep everyone posted.” Oh, okay: if he’s hopeful, then I reckon can find it in my heart to be hopeful as well.

Apparently there is a Bullz-Eye interview with Tyler. I will try and find it....maybe. I feel like such crap right now.

BE: Well, I know you've been credited as "Stoner Guy" a few times on your resume.

TL: Yeah, most of my young career was basically going to auditions stoned and having them tell me, "Wow, you play stoned really well!" (laughs) But it was fun. I was on "The X-Files" as a recurring character named Stoner, so I guess I did it pretty well!

I did. I remember Tyler as stoner guy on the X-files, licking a toad to get high.
