Universal Channel, a cable TV network here in Mexico, just got Reaper off the air. It's not even listed in their website anymore. I was supposed to watch it today at 6:00 PM, as I always do, and they showed stupid "Greek" instead. I'm so sad right now. I know I've seen all the episodes by now, but I wanted to support the show by watching it on the ONLY place I could watch it besides my computer or the Internet in this shitty country.

Darn, that's too bad. Are you sure, maybe it's coming back next week? I still have hopes that the international market will help the show; I'm not really following that, though. We find a lot of Spanish-speaking websites talking about Reaper but I haven't been able to tell what country they are representing.
Keep watching online, anyway!

There're some communities that like the show, but sadly, we're not as united as we should be in times like these. Many people don't even bother to post anything on message boards and the like, and I personally don't know anybody that watches the show. It's so sad...
If Reaper gets cancelled, I won't watch TV ever again. I'm just so tired of liking TV shows that don't get a fair chance.

Oh! If we all quit watching TV when they cancelled a show we liked, well...none of us here would still be watching TV! We can all give a long list of once-loved, now-gone shows. Now through the magic of DVDs, though, shows can live on. In fact, I"ve never seen this mentioned but I'm sure some of you have. Don't they make a lot of money off of the DVDs? Is there any spec that at some point in time it'll be worth it for them to make shows and show them for just long enough to get a DVD market?
Anyway, kwyjibo, now you do personally know people who watch the show. Here we are! And, by the way, we manage to get a small group together on Tuesday nights when the show is actually on...usually at 9-ish when the West Coast group is finished. Join us in Chat sometime.

Well, I know everything about DVD's, but I haven't seen a Reaper DVD set anywhere. We've got many stores and it's just not there (I still have to try at the only and newly-opened Best Buy we got here). The only TV shows I watch are crime series like CSI or Law & Order, and those are definitely not in danger of being cancelled, but I just hate it when I try to "explore" other genres and the shows I start to like get snatched in a heartbeat. I started watching "Traveler" like 2 years ago and it only lasted 8 episodes. Then I watched "In Justice" and it also got cancelled very soon. Last year I really liked "Moonlight" and it's gone now. That's when I started to watch "Reaper" and "Life" which I thought had very good chances. Earlier this year I began to watch "Kyle XY" only to realize that it was already being cancelled in the U.S.. And now, the only show I watch outside the crime genre is also getting slowly and painfully murdered, and I think "Life" is headed that way too. It's just not fair. But anyway, thanks for the invitation to join you on Tuesdays, unfortunately I'm taking classes at the uni until 10 PM, but I'll keep posting in here.

Okay, I tried to look into this more and could find nothing. Are we talking about season two? Because if it's season two then that's insanely odd there's no mention, because Universal Channel would have a contract to air all the episodes. If it's season one, is it repeats or first run? If Reaper's in repeats, then maybe it's just going on break until season two starts. I remember some people complaining during the hiatus that the CW website had done the same thing - taken Reaper pretty much off everything. At the very least, email them. Ask them if they would tell you what's going on. www.universalchannel.tv/la/contactAlex emailed his station (The Netherlands) and they responded back. We're still here. We have no lives.

Kwyjibo, you should be able to order it at Best Buy's website, if they don't have it in the store. I was able to get mine at a BJ's warehouse store here in the USA for $19. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I'm hoping they get season two in at BJ's.

Hi Blue Sunflower, Don't worry, I don't have a life either. I'm really busy with work and school but seriously, I have no life... hehe Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Universal Channel was showing re-runs of Season 1. I freaked out because it's still a bit "early" to cut-off these to show new episodes. We get new seasons a bit "late" on this side of the border: popular shows are delayed like 3-6 months and other shows get new episodes like a year after their premiere in the U.S. And that's on cable TV, you don't even want to know how long they take to get to local networks, if they ever get there (Reaper never made it to local networks). Today they were going to show episode 6, you know, when Sam dresses as a pumpkin and Ted as Jack Sparrow, which is really hilarious and I was really looking forward to see it (I saw it anyway on my computer like an hour ago, but still...). I already wrote to Universal Channel, so I hope they get back at me with good news ("we're preparing for season 2"). I guess I'll just try to calm down and wait... hehe. Thanks. I tried buying from their American website and they say they won't ship anything here since we already have a store. Bastards! I'll try to get it from somewhere else though. Thanks for the info.

Amazon will ship anywhere and they always have the best price. It's the first place I go to for all DVDs (and books, and audiobooks, etc.)

Yeah, I'll try to look in Amazon. I just hope they won't rip me off with shipping costs like they did with a friend of mine.
