Ditto on killing the cop. A lot of the other stuff is just being "such a dick" as Sam points out.

I went in for him killing off the Demon Rebellion; the cop was a pretty bad dude who wasn't interested in reforming (tried to kill Sam), but the demons were trying to beat the Devil and redeem themselves and he wiped them out for it. So far, Steve's the only 'martyr' we know of who wasn't crushed out of existence.

I voted for killing the cop as well; that twist, all in all, was so completely devilish. Had that option not been there, though, I would've voted for the Devil trying to make Sam kill Greg. (Tsk, tsk, trying to corrupt Sammy when he's already hellbound...)

the theory i had and also the reason i voted Killing the Cop is: sam has nothing to do whit the deal the cop made whit the devil, all the other options all have sam some how involved in it.

My first reaction has always been the Cop, but I really made notice of when he destroyed the Bench. That was the first time we'd seen TRUE power from the Devil.

For sure, sewing Sam's mouth shut. "Shut your mouth or I'll shut it for you." I'm late with my vote because I wanted to:
1) Remember what ep that was in, so I could 2) Find a screencap, which I couldn't do, but was actually relieved so I would 3) Not have to see that scene again.

Mega-word. I'm pretty sure we're all mostly desensitized to violence and destruction (yay modern media!) but that scene/effect was way creepy. X-Files 'cockroaches that crawl under your skin' episode creepy.

For me, the most evil moment didn't happen. But it would have been the most evil. It was when the Devil snapped his fingers and said he'd just killed Mimi.
But in terms of an evil moment that did happen, yeah has to be the cop thing.

When The Devil does stuff to Sam, even when it's something big like trying to get him to kill someone or nearly crushing him under a whole lot of shelves or sewing his mouth shut, it mostly comes off as funny. The cop thing is the only one that really stands out to me as chilling. Not sure why. Maybe because it was the first time he was truly menacing on the show, and that's why it leaves a deeper impression.
There's also the part in the pilot where he threatened to take Sam's mother if he doesn't do what he says. But maybe I was too distracted by all the wacky hijinks in the pilot to really get a good chill from that, because it seems to pale in comparison to the scene with the cop.

I think it was the whole plot with Greg and him wanting Sam to kill Greg. He made it so that he had little chance of doing anything else than kill him if he wanted to save Andi which is really evil in my book.

The best thing about the Cop was the deleted scene when Sam confronts the Devil he kills the cop. The Devil is forced to admit that he holds Sam in a higher regard than the escaped souls.

I agree, the Devil killing the cop was really evil.
Hopefully I'll watch that deleted scene when my DVD's finally get here.
