Has anyone heard anything about Missy possibly being engaged to Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers QB)? She evidently was in Pittsburgh over the holidays with her entire family.

I did a little idle research while I was watching the game, and I did see break-up news from the Fall, but...this sounds intriguing. Maybe pace has heard something, I'd imagine the Steelers/Ben news is more prolific where she is? This may sound mercenary, but if they are together, and the Steelers keep doing well, it might mean a bit of publicity for the show!

I've never met Missy but, to read some of those posters state that she's "rude" and "a bitch" is kind of hard to believe. In every interview I've seen with her, she's appeared to be nothing but friendly. One person there says Missy didn't attend the wrap party for S2 and that she realizes the show is a "sinking ship." Perhaps she just wanted to spend time with her boyfriend?
People annoy me.

I've got to agree with you; everything I've read about her, off the Ben fan site, has been very positive. I take what the Ben website posters take with a grain of salt. They are primarily Steeler fans; not Missy fans (obviously from their comments). Their comments about Missy are probably based mostly on jealousy (guys would like to be with Missy rather than her with Ben & females who would rather have Ben than Missy having him). Then add the fact that they are concerned that their QB will be distracted from winning another SuperBowl and you don't have much in the way of objective analysis. And in most cases, they are probably only speculating; having no first hand knowledge of what is going on.

Or some variation thereof.  Plus, they seem to be implying this is a new relationship, with all the "is Ben better or worse with Missy around"--when I know they were dating at the beginning of Season One. Despite my general lack of liking for this kind of thing, I hope some of those (weird) posters are right, and Ben caps off winning the Superbowl by proposing to Missy on the sidelines (or better yet, at midfield!) because, you know, it would be good for the show. |

I'm guessing they may already be engaged. Why else would he have flown Missy's entire family in after Christmas. After all, they have been dating for two years now, an eternity in "the business". Most of those marriages don't last as long as they've dated, so they must be serious. I think the very low profile they are keeping is the reason we haven't heard something. You know how we will find out about it ... Tyler will probably just blurt it out sometime, like Sock does!!!!!

Wow, I apologize on behalf of all Steelers fans. Really, on the whole we're a nice bunch. I haven't seen anything about Missy being here but then I don't read the news every day. I'm doing a search now and I found this little nugget from last March that pissed me off: SMALLVILLE??? SMALLVILLE?  ?? Oh, and I did find this from December 7 that makes it sound like it was just a casual fling, but then he is known for keeping private: That's pretty much it. |

Smallville, that sucks. Which makes me realize that even if my vision does come true, they probably won't even mention Reaper since it's not on the network that will be playing the Superbowl anyway.
Ben sounds pretty cool, though. I've always thought so.

I have to say it initially took me a minute to figure it out, considering the title of the post. I was very much all "Who would write a blog on a show they clearly haven't seen? I don't know how many of my fellow Reaper fans have seen the cable show "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe, but if you have, you might find this to be as funny as I thought it was (I found this on a blog page today):

Missy will be at Wizard World in Chicago, this Saturday, February 21st. She will sign autographs, meet her fans and sit in on a Q&A panel. For more information on Chicago's ComicCon, see here.
I think this might be an old advertisement for her appearance last June at the convention. Per their site, it appears that the 2009 convention in Chicago will be in August.

Since it seems to have been missed in the excitement over the start of season 2, I thought I'd point out that Missy got some press of her own yesterday when she appeared at the premiere of the movie Watchmen in LA. I guess her PR people decided to get her back in the loop as soon as she got back to LA (she has evidently moved back to LA - so I guess she thinks Reaper won't be renewed). She was there with her birthday boy QB (his 27th birthday). Of course, all of the pics I have seen make no mention of her being on Reaper.
