I liked this weeks Castle was so cool but I think it could be just a one series show tho.

Damian, I agree with you. I'm not sure it has the legs to continue. But, it could be just the kind of show that can gain some mainstream traction. Not that I know a lot about that, but I've seen it happen before. It's been compared a lot to Moonlighting (? Is that the show? With Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd?) but it's reminding me more of Nash Bridges, which I used to enjoy because it was set in San Francisco; we used to see them filming; and I have a tiny secret crush on Don Johnson. One of those shows that seems light and fluffy, but occasionally can turn dark.
Hopefully it'll last a full season (well, short season) and Nathan can start to rid himself of that cancellation curse.

Is anyone still watching Dollhouse? I am, but I'm not sure I'm sticking with it. I can't really explain why, but I do know I feel off-kilter with other people posting about the show, who seems to be loving it. For me, it's not gellng, none of the characters are engaging me (except the awesome Reed Diamond in a fairly small role), and--perhaps like some of you feel about Reaper right now--there are so many amazing premises and possibilities that seem to be going absolutely nowhere.
At some point it'll tip the balance between intriguing and frustrating. It's close now.

Oh, that's a shame. I guess I'm like the others again as I'm falling more in love with the show and the characters each week. I never really liked Echo or ED, but now that the focus has moved off her and onto the ensemble, I'm finding myself hooked. I love Sierra, Victor, November, Topher, Adelle, Claire and Boyd so that's plenty to make me happy. And we haven't even seen Alpha yet who I already love because of who's playing him. The past three episodes have been exciting, the shame is that it will probably not return, since the ratings just keep sinking. It didn't even get 3.5 million last night.

pace, I decided to stick with it. I still have hopes that it'll start making sense. I do enjoy bits of it, and at this point that's more than enough, I guess, to keep me going. And thanks for reminding me, I forgot about Alpha! Oh yes I must stay to see how that plays out!

Yeah, the way to look at it is that it's not a big commitment anyway. We're halfway through the season and there's every reason to think this will be all, so might as well watch the 13 I say.

I heard somewhere the other day that the ratings are really poor infact I think last Fridays were the worst yet and its just about done past its 13 episodes which is a shame and means another Joss Whedon show gone =[
In other news nearly half way through Season 3 of BSG!

Oh, man. Yeah, rocky road. That first part of Season 3, whew.
And, too bad but not surprising about Dollhouse, strangely like Pace says, it makes it easier to stick with it.

I'm still watching Dollhouse. But oddly enough, after learning more about Echo's real life as Caroline, I'm getting less invested. Caroline is... kind of a dumbass. That and it's getting to feel like every episode is another actors' exercise / writers' experiment.
I started watching Burn Notice lately and now I'm getting pretty obsessed with that show. It's so clever, surprisingly hilarious, and it comes with so many helpful spy tips. I can't even help but love it when they shoot/blow stuff up and have the umpteenth car chase. The lead guy and Bruce Campbell are constantly cracking me up with their spot-on facial expressions.

That's funny, bec, because a few weeks ago my sister was saying that the problem with the show is you have no investment in the Dolls since you don't know their (original) personalities. She was hoping that this episode might help that. About midway through, we looked at each other and were "Ooookay, so now we're seeing their original personalities, aaaaaannndd......." Only Victor is getting more appealing over time.
Thanks for the reminder about Burn Notice. loandbehold and others have been encouraging me to watch that; maybe I'll start again.

D: Who watched House tonight? I know a few of you hate it viciously but stfu. I like Hugh Laurie being a jerk for an hour. But this isn't about him. Kutnerrrrrrrrrrrr! Noooo. He was my favorite. I hope he got killed off because he's going to get more work now. Work besides Harold & Kumar, I mean. Even though I have a stubborn loyalty and affection for both those movies.

Aw, yet another reason I'm bummed to miss Monday night TV. It seems like every show I want to watch is on Mondays. In Fall, for the first time in like 10 years, I'm taking a break from my night class, so can watch all the TV I want! Now that's progress.
I do make it home in time for Castle, which I am enjoying more and more. It's good old-fashioned style detecting without the extra gory close-ups or autopsies, and not a lot of horrible exploitative crime. Not grim and depressing, but fun and lighthearted with a vein of seriousness. Nathan gets better and better; he's dropped a lot of the cheesiness and is emphasizing the low-key charm. The scenes of New York are glam, the music is upbeat. I recommend it.

Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money to air final episodes. "The adventures of Ned the Pieman will resume Saturday, May 30, at 10 pm/ET, and air there for three weeks, until the series' sophomore-season inventory is exhausted. " Then Eli Stone for 4 episodes, then Dirty Sexy Money for 4 episodes ("culminating with an August 8 finale/the reveal of Dutch George's killer.") Interesting idea. I watched all of those shows! I'm so glad I don't have plans for Saturday nights between May 30-August 8.

I just finished watching the Unusuals the new drama on ABC and I really liked it. Amber Tambelyn from Joan of Arcardia plays Casey a rich girl who becomes a cop. She get tranfered to this precinct where all the other offices are quirky and are hiding secrets.

I nearly forgot to mention that on Burn Notice you'll see someone from Reaper in the very first episode. I had no idea and it was a nice surprise.

ABC Studios, which produces Reaper, is looking for more members for its Advisory Panel. It's a basically a forum, but as a member you have access to extras that they do. The gave a sneak peek of the Reaper Premiere, and currently have activities on the October Road DVD and Legend of the Seeker. They are looking for more people for their under-represented boards, of which Reaper is one. You do need to qualify, and if accepted need to answer some statistics information, but after that you're done. You have full access to the board. If more Reaper lovers join, we can post and represent our show. Maybe we can make a goal of posting once a week or more, just to show we're out there. But hey ~ don't limit yourself to Reaper, they've got tons of other shows too - including Life on Mars, Castle, and Brothers and Sisters. abcstudios.brand-advisor.com/external.svc?page=qualification&qualification_ticket=RAF

Thanks to kathyk, I'm now enjoying The Unusuals (ABC Wednesdays) and Cupid (ABC Tuesdays 10 pm). As she said, The Unusuals is a cop show but with a lot of twists, and Cupid is great fun even for a dedicated non-romantic like me. It's about a guy who thinks he's Cupid in modern-day New York City. He has to match up 100 couples to get back to...Mt. Olympus I think. His foil is a psychiatrist played by Sarah Paulsen. Here's what I said about it at...another site. ABC's the place to be, with these two shows, Castle, and Better Off Ted. Cancellation watch! Plus of course Reaper comes out of ABC, and I know people like Scrubs.

Yahoo, pace, thanks for convincing me to stick with Dollhouse! Great episode! Echo and Sierra acting like badass spies, it's what those actors do best. Reed Diamond is /was my favorite part of the show, but if he's really gone it was worth it, because he was so awesome in this ep. I'm loving the twist of the saboteur imprinting the Dolls. Chilling with Helo and Mellie; what's gonna happen there? And the one character and her secret. Besides the fact of Who Can Blame Her?, this was the first time I felt the least bit of understanding as to why someone might rent a doll. Plus I see it as a metaphor for...um...casual sex, because in a way isn't that what it is? You have the encounter with no strings attached? This was also the Tipping Point for me as to the moral ambiguity of the Dollhouse. I mean, how can Topher, Fred, and Woman Who Played the IA Cop In Dexter possibly justify what they're doing after that scene of sending someone to the Attic? I mean, geesh. Brutal. ETA: Hey, this is my 1,300th post! Don't know quite what to say about that.
